Arsene faces up to a few home truths

Arsenal were the sinners as Barcelona, the patron saints of beautiful football battered the pretenders to their throne at the Nou Camp last night. For all Arsene Wenger’s protests and squabbles with the referee after the final whistle had blown, his side took one hell of a beating on a night they had hoped to prove they deserved to be mentioned in the same breath as their simply astounding opponents.

Would the game have been a different one if Van Persie had not been the victim of a foolish decision by Swiss referee Massimo Busacca? Wenger certainly thought so. Click here for more (external link)
